Rules of the Road Driving School
Welcome to our Driving School, the place where you learn the "Rules of the Road".
In business since 2013, we have had the privilege of teaching numerous students the foundational skills needed to be safe and responsible drivers. Please feel free to give us a call if you have questions about any of our services.
Our Courses
38 Hour Driving Course
As one of our most popular offerings, we recommend signing up for this course as early as possible as it tends to fill up quickly. If you are unsure about your level or have questions, simply reach out.
This course is designed for all students ages 15 to 17 years old who want to get a Class E license. It includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of behind the wheel driving.
All students attending class MUST get a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) from the Office of Motor Vehicles. Click here to schedule an appointment with the DMV.
14 Hour Driving Course
This course is designed for those students 18 and over who need to get a Class E license. It includes 6 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours behind the wheel driving.
All students attending class MUST get a Temporary Driving Permit (TIP) from the Office of Motor Vehicles. Click here to schedule an appointment with the DMV.
Road Skills Test
Rules of the Road Driving School is a Certified Third Party Road Skills testing location. Please call to schedule an appointment.
Defensive Driving
Rules of the Road is proud to offer Defensive Driving Courses. We provide certificates for insurance companies, traffic court, and employers. Call us to schedule your class today!

Rules of the Road Driving School is located in Baton Rouge. The school was designed to make learning easy and accessible. Since opening in 2013, we have had the opportunity to help a number of students acquire foundational skills, develop new techniques and confidently move forward in their learning journey.
